Firearms Licences
In reply to the Hon. A.L. McLACHLAN (7 June 2016).
The Hon. P. MALINAUSKAS (Minister for Police, Minister for Correctional Services, Minister for Emergency Services, Minister for Road Safety): I am advised:
A comprehensive business case was delivered to South Australia Police in August 2015, identifying the total cost associated for procuring and implementing a new Firearm Control System operating system. That estimated cost is calculated at approximately $8.2 million. The combined time frame for procurement and implementation is calculated to be 18 months once approved.
