Wastewater Allocations

The Hon. R.L. BROKENSHIRE (15:13): My supplementary question is: can the minister confirm that the 20 gigalitres of wastewater are being put out for use because the EPA threatened $400 million in fines per year if SA Water continued to release it into the gulf?

I certainly cannot confirm that at all, but to suit him, before he leaves this place, I will expedite a question from my office if they could take this on now and get it back to us before the end of the week, because the Hon. Mr Brokenshire may not be here—he may not be here for very much longer—to find out where he might have been misinformed.
