The Hon. S.G. WADE (15:00): So, is it the minister's advice to this house that the department does not have a target of vacant beds to avoid bed management?

MALINAUSKAS (Minister for Police, Minister for Correctional Services, Minister for Emergency Services, Minister for Road Safety) (15:00): My answer, Mr President, is that the department's primary target and objective is to make sure that we have enough beds in the system to be able to manage our prison population in such a way that keeps South Australians secure.
