Murray-Darling Basin Authority
The Hon. J.M.A. LENSINK (14:39): I have a supplementary question arising from the minister's answer. Is he saying, therefore, that South Australia is refusing to 'pay its fair share'?
The Hon. I.K. HUNTER (Minister for Sustainability, Environment and Conservation, Minister for Water and the River Murray, Minister for Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation) (14:39): These guys just don't get it. South Australia has been paying more than its fair share, and what we will not do is subsidise New South Wales. That's what the Liberals here want us to do—use South Australian taxpayers' money, to shovel it over the border to New South Wales. We will not do it!
