The Hon. G.E. The role of the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is to investigate and act on allegations of abuse and neglect of both children and young people in foster care, and, those in residential and secure care facilities. The SIU also investigates and acts on allegations of abuse of vulnerable persons who are Disability SA clients.
It is beyond the scope of the Department for Families and Communities, Special Investigations Unit to undertake the type of investigation suggested in the question.
