total number of active provisional licences: 68,400

total number of active full licences (including heavy vehicle licences): 1,198,600

total number of active motorcycle (r-class) licences: 170,100

Vehicle registrations:

motorcycles: 49,200

heavy vehicles: 74,300

light vehicles: 1,473,400
