Question Time Extension

The Hon. J.A.W. GARDNER (Morialta—Deputy Leader of the Opposition) (15:08): I seek that the time that was on the clock when you began the ruling be restored at three minutes.

The SPEAKER: I will take advice from the Clerk as to whether that is permissible under the standing orders. The advice I have received is I can only extend the time permissible for an answer, and it may be that that is the device by which we achieve the outcome the member for Morialta is seeking. I would myself seek to achieve that outcome.

That question time be extended by one minute to allow a question to be asked by the member for Morialta.
