Royal Adelaide Hospital Site Redevelopment

What was the substantial variance in dollar terms between Commercial and General's original proposal for the redevelopment of the old Royal Adelaide Hospital site and the ultimate proposal rejected by the government?

MULLIGHAN (Lee—Minister for Transport and Infrastructure, Minister for Housing and Urban Development) (15:26): I think we have already made it clear publicly what the offer was in dollar terms for the site. Given that we are going to go into a process where we intend to make parts of that site available to the commercial property sector for development—and I should also say, given the experience we have had with Tonsley and Bowden, where parts of the site have been made available for discrete development on the site, where we have had multiple developers on that site—I am not sure how it would serve the commercial interests of the government to be walking through a blow by blow summary of dollars per square metre value or, indeed, total figures in the millions.
