Festival Plaza Car Park

Ms CHAPMAN (Bragg—Deputy Leader of the Opposition) (14:33): My question is to the Minister for Planning. Will the construction of the Festival Plaza car park have started by 1 July this year, as required under the contract between the state government and Walker Corporation?

RAU (Enfield—Deputy Premier, Attorney-General, Minister for Justice Reform, Minister for Planning, Minister for Industrial Relations, Minister for Child Protection Reform, Minister for the Public Sector, Minister for Consumer and Business Services, Minister for the City of Adelaide) (14:33): I think, just as a matter of clarification, at this point in time what we have is heads of agreement between the government and Walker Corporation. Those heads of agreement are, at the present time, the subject of a lot of work by people in the Crown and people who work for Walker Corporation to distil those heads of agreement into—

The Hon. J.R. RAU: —a contract document. My expectation is that that will be resolved fairly shortly and, at the point of that being resolved, we should be in a position to be able to answer that question one way or the other.
