CORONER'S RECOMMENDATIONS
364 Mr HANNA (Mitchell) (4 November 2008). Which of the Coroner's 2006 and 2007 recommendations have yet to be implemented?
The Hon. J.W. WEATHERILL (Cheltenham—Minister for Environment and Conservation, Minister for Early Childhood Development, Minister for Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation, Minister Assisting the Premier in Cabinet Business and Public Sector Management): After a review of departmental and Ministerial records, I can advise that there were no Coronial recommendations relating to the Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation portfolio that were brought to my attention as Minister for Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation or that of the Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation Division, Department of the Premier and Cabinet in 2006 or 2007.
Relevant Coroner's recommendations are referred to the agencies responsible for responding to the recommendations, which will generally be service delivery agencies.
The relevant annual reports of the Coroner for the years 2006 and 2007 confirm that no recommendations were addressed to the Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation portfolio.
