MAHER (Deputy Premier, Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Attorney-General, Minister for Industrial Relations and Public Sector, Special Minister of State) (14:30):</by>  I thank the honourable member for her supplementary question. The views and the experience of victims need to be central in our criminal justice system. We have done much over the last three years to take that into account; for example, by changing legislation to make sure that victim impact statements are accepted in the way that the victims wish to put them forward to court, and not edited.</text>
        <text id="202510288bf31dbb0d394a1d80000069">In relation to the processes that are in place in terms of informing victims, I am happy to go away and ask the correctional services department, through their minister, what is in place in relation to how they keep victims informed.</text>
