          <inserted>Ambulance services in many remote communities in South Australia are provided by the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS). This is especially so in very remote communities such as Innamincka. Innamincka RFDS clinic is staffed by remote area nurses who are employed by the RFDS to provide emergency and primary healthcare responses to Innamincka and surrounding communities. Patients requiring additional clinical support are generally escalated through RFDS internal care pathways. Patients requiring aeromedical evacuation are also typically coordinated by the RFDS where they activate a RFDS primary response using fixed wing aircraft. </inserted>
