          <inserted>As an independent tribunal, South Australian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (SACAT) receives applications from the South Australian Housing Trust (SAHT) for the termination of tenancy agreements. SACAT applies the law as set out in the Residential Tenancies Act 1995<term> </term>(SA) in the context of the facts of each case when determining whether to terminate a tenancy agreement and make an order for vacant possession. </inserted>

          <inserted>There has been a steady increase in the number of total orders made across SACAT over the 10 years since its establishment in 2015. In the first year there were approximately 22,000 orders made and in the 10th year of SACAT, March 2024 to March 2025, the number of orders made was approximately 37,070.</inserted>
