          <inserted>The Commissioner of Police has initiated an independent inquiry into the South Australia Police (SAPOL) District Policing Model (DPM) to ensure he can provide a work environment that can effectively support employees while meeting community needs.</inserted>

          <inserted>The review will assess how current policing demands have impacted the DPM's original design and explore potential adjustments within SAPOL's existing resources to maximise benefits for employees.</inserted>
        </text>

          <inserted>To ensure full objectivity and transparency, an external party will be engaged to conduct the review, including an evaluation of the benefits of reverting to the pre 2018 model.</inserted>
