          <inserted>The South Australian government is working with all Australian governments to develop a replacement agreement for the 2004 National Water Initiative. </inserted>
        </text>
        <text id="20241126c2f2b840d66f48de80002044">
          <inserted>The draft principles recently released for public consultation are not the draft National Water Agreement or government policy and are subject to change. The latest consultation has provided a wealth of knowledge and expertise from stakeholders that is being used to inform and further refine the new National Water Agreement.</inserted>

          <inserted>Once the draft National Water Agreement has been developed, key South Australian stakeholders will have an opportunity to provide feedback on the entire agreement. Stakeholder feedback will be one consideration when the South Australian government considers signing the agreement.</inserted>

          <inserted>There is no need to request an extension of the timeframe for implementation as the National Water Agreement is yet to be agreed or signed.</inserted>
