MAHER (Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Attorney-General, Minister for Industrial Relations and Public Sector): The Minister for Health and Wellbeing has advised: South Australia issues VAD permits only when very strict eligibility requirements are met. The law does not exclude a prisoner from accessing VAD, if they meet those strict eligibility requirements. We do not comment on individual cases.
