SCRIVEN (Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development, Minister for Forest Industries): The Minister for Infrastructure and Transport has advised: 1.	The state government is aware of the recommendations outlined in the February 2023 report of the Public and Active Transport Select Committee (the committee). The Malinauskas government has been in discussions with Viterra and Aurizon since April 2022 on their proposal for regional rail in Eyre Peninsula. Recently, Minister Koutsantonis wrote a letter to the Hon. Catherine King MP, federal Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government asking that the Australian government considers this proposal in light of the national benefits it will provide. 2.	The Department for Infrastructure and Transport has been provided a copy of the committee's report and recommendations for its consideration.
