        <inserted>1.&amp;#x9;Acknowledges that 10 May 2022 marks 50 years since the murder of Dr George Ian Ogilvie Duncan;</inserted>
      </text>
      <text id="202308304e3d7919bee1441ea0001247">
        <inserted>2.&amp;#x9;Notes the long-lasting impacts of Dr Duncan’s death on law reform and the LGBTIQ community;</inserted>
      </text>
      <text id="202308304e3d7919bee1441ea0001248">
        <inserted>3.&amp;#x9;Recognises the risks of discrimination and violence still faced by LGBTIQ people today; and</inserted>
      </text>

        <inserted>4.&amp;#x9;Resolves to continue to work toward safety and equality for all LGBTIQ people.</inserted>

HUNTER (22:48):</by>  I rise very briefly to thank honourable. members who have made a contribution to the debate on the in memoriam motion about Dr George Ian Ogilvie Duncan. I will save my summing-up remarks, import them into the next item and combine the two to save honourable members' time this evening.</text>
        <text id="202308304e3d7919bee1441ea0001252">I am very pleased that honourable members have made contributions to remember Dr Duncan and the way that he died, and mostly with the anticipation that we can actually improve things in society for queer young people in particular.</text>
