          <inserted>Mr Daniele's compensation money was paid on 30 March 2023 to the Prisoner's Quarantine Fund as required by the Correctional Services Act 1982 and it will be held for at least the initial quarantine period of 12 months from that date. A notice to potential claimants has been published in the <term>Government Gazette</term>. To date, no claims from victims of Mr Daniele's offending have been made to the Crown Solicitor's Office. </inserted>

          <inserted>Should a claim arise, the state will use its best endeavours to apply the sum in the quarantine fund to pay such a victim. Should a claim not arise until after the quarantine period expires, any victim of this offending will be paid out of the general fund for that purpose.'</inserted>
