MAHER (Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Attorney-General, Minister for Industrial Relations and Public Sector): I am advised: The Clerk of the Legislative Council has undertaken an investigation, the outcomes of which the President informed the council on 13 June 2023. The legal employer of the trainee whom this matter relates to, is the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF). The Electorate Services division of DTF has not conducted a separate investigation into the matter. Neither has the Office of the Commissioner for Public Sector Employment been approached to investigate a potential breach of the Code of Ethics.
