SCRIVEN (Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development, Minister for Forest Industries): The Minister for Human Services has advised: The state's first Autism Strategy and Autism Charter are being developed in partnership with our Autism Advisory Council following wide public consultation. Upon finalisation, the Department of Human Services (DHS) and the Department for Education (DfE) will undertake a pilot of the Autism Charter for approximately six months prior to rollout to the rest of the state government during 2024. All state government agencies will be expected to sign up to the Autism Charter upon implementation and DHS will support the process.
