          <inserted>The government remains committed to providing $50 million of grant funding to the Whyalla Steelworks for approved projects which contribute to its operational efficiency. The grant funding is subject to a formal assessment and approval process and only projects that meet agreed outcomes for the Whyalla Steelworks and the town of Whyalla will be approved. Grant funding will be provided on a reimbursement basis and subject to a formal assessment process.</inserted>

          <inserted>In relation to a recent visit by the Premier to Whyalla, GFG Alliance publicly announced the phase-out of coal-based steelmaking on 4 April 2023, with the purchase of an electric arc furnace. The announcement is in line with this government's commitment to lowering CO² emissions by 2030 and net zero by 2050.</inserted>
