          <inserted>The decision to ban TikTok on government devices was based on advice that the commonwealth government had received, and we sought to align our position to that of the commonwealth government. Communication of the ban was made by email advising all departments and the policy document for the ban is publicly available.</inserted>

          <inserted>All South Australian government agencies are required to remove the TikTok app from devices including mobile phones, tablets, or computers. The current policy position allows for legitimate business use of TikTok and provides advice around relevant risk mitigations that may be considered if such use is required. Exemptions are to be managed and approved within each agency. </inserted>
