            <inserted>1,842 contracts (above $55,000) were entered into by SA government, with an estimated total contract value of $5.77billion, of which:</inserted>

            <inserted>1,160 contracts (or 63 per cent) were entered into with a South Australian business, with an estimated contract value of $2.23 billion (or 39 per cent) of total estimated contract value.</inserted>

            <inserted>Subsequent to our government's 'Making the Public Dollar Work' election commitment to ensure the Auditor-General audits government spending on procurement and annual reports how much is spent on SA and non-SA goods and services, the Department of Treasury and Finance will amend Treasurer's Instructions (accounting policy statements) to include agency spending on procurement as an additional requirement. </inserted>

            <inserted>Our government has committed to reviewing the procurements undertaken by the Marshall Liberal government to understand the extent that local businesses were not afforded the opportunity to bid, and determine how the our government can increase opportunities for local businesses.</inserted>

          <inserted>Furthermore, our government is targeting an increase of $425 million per year in government spending going to SA businesses away from interstate/overseas suppliers from the current annual government procurement spending.</inserted>
