MAHER (Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Attorney-General, Minister for Industrial Relations and Public Sector): The Minister for Education, Training and Skills has advised: Initial training for autism inclusion teachers is being provided by Positive Partnerships, a national initiative funded by the Australian government Department of Education through the Helping Children with Autism program. Positive Partnerships provide free professional learning for educators and parents/carers across Australia. Ongoing training is being designed and delivered by the department's autism inclusion team within the existing departmental budget.
