As of 10 March 2023, there were 3,469 separations (excluding retirements) from SA Health from the SA Ambulance Service award and Nursing/Midwifery award for the five years from July 2017 to December 2022. Over this period the overall ambulance, nursing, and midwifery workforce increased by 16 per cent of ambos, nurses and midwives in net terms.
