This new legislation will work alongside current Operation Nomad methodologies to further reduce the risk of a person reoffending and causing widespread damage to property, potential injury and death, and interruption to business. Implementation of this legislation is anticipated to reduce police resources in monitoring monitored bushfire offenders and emergency services resources responding to bushfires.
