          <inserted>The Women's and Children's Health Network (WCHN) advised the Office of the Minister for Health and Wellbeing about the decisions of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. </inserted>
        </text>

          <inserted>Affected staff have been informed and work is already underway towards addressing the concerns raised. </inserted>

          <inserted>Associate Professor Christine Dennis has recently been approved as the new chair of the Women's and Children's Health Network governing board. The minister has asked the new chair to review the clinical governance and engagement in the network. </inserted>
        </text>

          <inserted>We know that improvements are needed at the Women's and Children's Hospital and across our health system, which was neglected for years by the former Liberal government. </inserted>
        </text>
        <text id="20230502907d161f35914f01a0000863">
          <inserted>That's why we have committed $31.6 million for 48 extra doctors for the Women's and Children's Hospital, including 17 senior specialists. </inserted>
        </text>

          <inserted>The commitment is part of a broader pledge to inject an extra 100 doctors across our hospitals, as part of our record investment into the health system. </inserted>
        </text>

          <inserted>Our government takes these matters seriously and will work collaboratively with WCHN and the college to ensure the recommendations are being addressed.</inserted>
