SCRIVEN (Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development, Minister for Forest Industries): I am advised: The Department of Primary Industries and Regions is delivering the growing carbon farming pilot; a $1 million initiative to encourage carbon farming adoption and to build the carbon market in South Australia. The Pilot will support a minimum of six commercial carbon farming projects up to $100,000 and aims to increase industry knowledge of South Australia's carbon farming opportunities by demonstrating methods with greatest applicability in South Australia.
