MAHER (Minister for Aboriginal Affairs, Attorney-General, Minister for Industrial Relations and Public Sector): The Minister for Health and Wellbeing has advised: The Department for Health and Wellbeing continue to work collaboratively with the Breakthrough Mental Health Foundation (Breakthrough) to establish the Statewide Eating Disorder Service (SEDS) and Residential Eating Treatment Centre (REDC) at the Repat Health Precinct (Repat). Former government ministers would well know that lease negotiations suffered significant delays under their tenure and consequently, a lease was not signed. Under the incoming government, Infrastructure are now in discussions with Breakthrough to finalise the project deed which is expected to be signed imminently. Breakthrough will manage the design, construction and anticipated costings of this new facility.
