          <inserted>The Patient Assistance Transport Scheme is an important measure to provide support for patients having to travel to Adelaide for treatment.</inserted>

          <inserted>In 2020-21, $8.99 million was invested in PATS to support regional patients. </inserted>
        </text>

          <inserted>The new Malinauskas government has prioritised providing more funding to support the improvement of regional health services so more people can receive treatment close to where they live.</inserted>

          <inserted>There are no current plans to change the PATS scheme, however it will continue to be considered over time.</inserted>
