          <inserted>I assume that your question relates to germination of Tasmanian blue gum wildlings on Kangaroo Island. </inserted>
        </text>
        <text id="202207071cf8107ff4e546d6b0001224">
          <inserted>Since the 2019-20 bushfires, the state and commonwealth governments have committed just over $1.5 million to this issue. By 30 June 2022, it is anticipated that initial control work will have been undertaken on more than 1,000 hectares. </inserted>

          <inserted>Control of Tasmanian blue gum wildlings remains a priority for this government, with this work to continue into 2022-23. </inserted>

          <inserted>Since early 2022, landholders are required to control Tasmanian blue gums wildlings growing on their land. </inserted>
        </text>

          <inserted>I’m advised that the Department for Environment and Water are working with Kangaroo Island Landscape Board to ensure landholders, including Kiland, are aware of their responsibilities under the <term>Landscape Act 2019.</term></inserted>
