          <text continued="true" id="20210923a372de0cef9844eb90000935">The amendments are two relatively simple amendments which are essentially transitional amendments. One ensures the continuation of the position of the Judicial Conduct Commissioner and the second one, out of an excess of caution, ensures that any existing surveillance device authorities that the commissioner might have in operation for a current investigation are able to be continued. They are viewed by the government and the House of Assembly as transitional amendments and we therefore support the amendments.</text>
