      <text id="202109076e048e6d32304a25a0000007">Her Excellency the Administrator, by message, informed the Legislative Council that the President of the Senate of the Commonwealth of Australia, in accordance with section 21 of the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Australia, has regretfully notified His Excellency the Governor that, through the death on 29 August 2021 of Senator Alex Gallacher, a vacancy has happened in the representation of this state in the Senate.</text>
      <text id="202109076e048e6d32304a25a0000008">The Administrator is advised that, by such vacancy having happened, the place of a senator has become vacant before the expiration of his term within the meaning of section 15 of the constitution and that such place must be filled by the houses of parliament sitting and voting together, choosing a person to hold it in accordance with the provisions of the said section.</text>
