LUCAS (Treasurer): The Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development has advised: A search of records indicates the forestry transport assistance scheme was not made available to the South Australian government by the Australian government. As soon as industry raised this particular scheme to the attention of the government during an informal meeting in May 2021, a request was prepared to send to the responsible commonwealth minister, Senator the Hon. Jonathon Duniam, seeking consideration of extending the initiative to South Australia.
