          <inserted>The Commissioner for Public Sector Employment is not consolidating a process to investigate public sector leaks.</inserted>

          <inserted>Rather, the commissioner advised the Budget and Finance Committee that her office is establishing a panel of external investigators who are suitably qualified to undertake investigations of any nature at an agency's request.</inserted>
        </text>

          <inserted>The procurement of the panel is currently underway, and is expected to be in place in the second half of this year.</inserted>
        </text>

          <inserted>The circumstances of any investigation in which an agency chooses to engage an external investigation will be determined by that agency's chief executive or delegate.</inserted>
