WADE (Minister for Health and Wellbeing) (15:15): The first point I would make is that Kangaroo Island, like any other part of Australia, is not magically immune to this virus. In fact, the reality is that there has already been a confirmed case on Kangaroo Island. There is no doubt that Kangaroo Island, depending on the scenario, would be challenged by an outbreak of coronavirus on the island, but that is true of very many parts of this state. That is why we all need to work together to make sure that we flatten the curve, push out the peak and work cooperatively to make sure that our whole state stands ready to respond to outbreaks.
