J.M.A. LENSINK (Minister for Human Services) (14:57): The comments I made were in relation to ensuring that we continue to provide the existing work through the interpreting translating services. My advice is that it employs over 380 interpreters and translators of 114 languages and dialects. Wherever possible, the ITC employs NAATI, which is the national accreditation authority for translators and qualified or credentialled interpreters and translators. In this current calendar year, it's partnering with Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation, TAFE SA and NAATI to develop and deliver a new model for Aboriginal language interpreting services.
