          <inserted>The South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC) provided the following information to the Australian Masters Games (AMG) event organisers, based on information received from the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) in regard to the process for seeking a reduction in public transport costs for event participants.</inserted>

          <inserted>For similar type of events, DPTI has offered unlimited free transport for the duration of the event on Adelaide Metro bus, train and tram services for more than $20 plus GST per participant. This fee is usually included in the accreditation package purchased by the participants taking part in the event. Participants simply display the event accreditation pass to access the free transport.</inserted>

          <inserted>The event organisers can write to the Minister for Transport, Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning, Hon. Stephan Knoll MP, requesting free travel for the duration of the event for AMG participants. The letter should contain details of the event, how many participants, dates, etc., and also advise that the SATC through Events South Australia is a major sponsor. Minister Knoll's contact details were provided to the event organisers.</inserted>

          <inserted>The event organisers did not request further assistance from SATC on receipt of the above information and they have since advised that they did not proceed down either of the above paths.</inserted>
