          <inserted>The consultation obligations prescribed by the enterprise agreements relate to the implementation of the South Australian government's decision and not the decision itself. Public sector employees directly impacted by the decision to issue a tender for outsourcing the operation of bus and light rail are employed by the Rail Commissioner or the Chief Executive, Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) (for the Chief Executive, Department of Treasury and Finance).</inserted>

          <inserted>Representatives of DPTI and the Rail Commissioner have advised that the decision impacts upon employees covered by six enterprise agreements, which contain specific consultation obligations upon the employer. DPTI and the Rail Commissioner have formally written to each employee representative association and provided notice to all impacted employees regarding the decision and enabling the commencement of the consultation process. The consultation process is continuing between the employer, employees and their representative associations.</inserted>
