I was wondering whether the government is looking at funding some of those playgrounds to upgrade so that they have disability equipment.</text>

Our view is that inclusion is best practice. At the time when the Disability Inclusion Bill was first mooted, I think under the former government and feedback that we had also received from the local government sector, they had made their usual bid to say, 'If you are going to impose inclusion on us, then you might like to help us pay for it.'</text>
        <text id="2019032012f1fd4ea43047dca0000185">Playgrounds, in and of themselves, are very expensive as it is. The advice that I have received from certain organisations that work in the universal design space is that universal design, if it is incorporated in the planning stage, should not lead to additional costs. This is a particular commitment which was given by Premier Steven Marshall to especially commemorate Quentin.</text>
