WADE (Minister for Health and Wellbeing) (14:26):</by>  In terms of what advice I received last year, of course I was advised of what are normal Christmas/New Year closures. The Labor Party did exactly the same thing. Just quietly, doctors and nurses like their holidays, too. January is not a peak month for elective surgery. In terms of whether I have given any directions about opening of beds: no, I haven't.</text>
