          <inserted>The Attorney has taken part in one Sentencing Council meeting since 17 March 2018. </inserted>
        </text>
        <text id="2018120421d7f2393f044cc0b0000783">
          <inserted>The Sentencing Advisory Council of South Australia was established by the previous government to undertake specific tasks at the direction of the Attorney-General and to provide advice to the Attorney-General. </inserted>
        </text>
        <text id="2018120421d7f2393f044cc0b0000784">
          <inserted>The government is committed to engaging broadly with the justice sector and the public on sentencing laws and will continue to do so in the absence of the council. </inserted>
        </text>

          <inserted>Legal officers within the Attorney-General's Department are also available to provide advice on sentencing matters.</inserted>
