            <by role="member" id="1820">The Hon. D.W. RIDGWAY (Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment):</by>  The Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Local Government has provided the following advice: </inserted>

          <inserted>In accord with the licence agreement signed by KI Connect on 7 November 2017 with the former minister for transport and infrastructure, KI Connect is responsible for any works (including dredging) and associated costs required to establish its operations in the harbour area at Cape Jervis. The sandbar referred to by the honourable member is part of the initial dredging works that was 'missed' when carried out by KI Connect's contractors in April of this year. Yankalilla council has recently approved a variation to the previous dredging development approval to allow these works to proceed. KI Connect will be responsible for the costs of this further dredging.</inserted>

          <inserted>Once this work is completed, and as occurs in the area of the harbour utilised by SeaLink, the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure will then conduct maintenance dredging as part of its annual programs.</inserted>
