Retail traders and workers should be able to spend time with their families, but the Boxing Day trading exemption that the Treasurer plans on introducing will mean many families will miss out on spending quality time together. My questions are:</text>

The advice I received, as I issued the exemption, was that conditions can be placed on the exemption, and one of the conditions of the exemption is that workers cannot be forced to work on Boxing Day. That will be a condition of the exemption.</text>
