MALINAUSKAS (Minister for Police, Minister for Correctional Services, Minister for Emergency Services, Minister for Road Safety) (14:38):</by>  My advice is that the characterisation that the Hon. Tammy Franks has just made, regarding the removal of protections, is that that is not entirely accurate. Indeed, there are currently already protections in place. That said, SAPOL is regularly consulted on significant legislative changes in all formats, and I have no reason to believe they wouldn't have been consulted in this context.</text>
