MALINAUSKAS (Minister for Police, Minister for Correctional Services, Minister for Emergency Services, Minister for Road Safety) (14:34):</by> This is an industrial dispute. Those workers have commenced a form of industrial action, hence why the matter is now before the Industrial Relations Commission. There is a hearing scheduled at 4pm today, and I am advised that there is even a chance that the matter will be heard sooner than that.</text>
<text id="2017021557379907f3944caab0000277">It is entirely an industrial dispute and the appropriate forum for that dispute to be heard in is, of course, the Industrial Relations Commission. A matter related to this has already been before the commission, as the Hon. Mr Wade has referred to in his earlier question. My advice is that overwhelmingly that dispute was resolved in favour of the department—that is, the government. I look forward to seeing the outcome of this dispute in the Industrial Relations Commission as quickly as possible so that those workers can get back to work and do their jobs accordingly.</text>
