          <inserted>CCTV cameras are an integral part of any correctional facility. These cameras are both preventative and responsive security measures, and are of paramount importance in the provision of a safe working environment. </inserted>

          <inserted>I am advised that if a Department for Correctional Services staff member was to deliberately obstruct the view of, or cover up, any CCTV camera, the person would face disciplinary action. Depending on the individual circumstances, an employee may be permitted to continue working, be suspended with pay, or suspended without pay, pending the outcome of the disciplinary action.</inserted>
