WADE (14:30): I seek leave to make a brief explanation before asking a question of the Minister for Emergency Services in relation to the recognition of emergency services volunteers. Leave granted. WADE: The South Australian government has recently given a firm commitment that it will maintain comprehensive Australia-wide ambulance cover for volunteer ambulance officers, in recognition of the contribution they make. My question to the minister is: is the government considering providing similar recognition to other emergency services volunteers comparable to the recognition it provides to volunteer ambulance officers?
