MAHER (Minister for Employment, Minister for Aboriginal Affairs and Reconciliation, Minister for Manufacturing and Innovation, Minister for Automotive Transformation, Minister for Science and Information Economy): I can advise that on 22 March 2016 the Aboriginal Heritage (Miscellaneous) Amendment Bill 2016 passed through parliament. The bill came into operation on 24 March 2016. Since 2008, and as part of the review of the Aboriginal Heritage Act, there have been four separate stages of consultation. These took place across 2009, 2013, 2015 and 2016.
